This debate often makes me think of a class I took in high school under the IB curriculum called “Theory of Knowledge” that was very much about teaching you how to think critically and ask the right questions, often in a socratic seminar layout. By far one of the most enjoyable learning experiences I have ever had! Students will often enjoy debates and will learn more from them than from memorization-based approaches, too.
